1. Create your pet's profile
Creating a profile only takes a few minutes. Once the profile is up on Adopt a Pet, your pet will start appearing in searches. And you can update it anytime from your Rehome dashboard.
Pro tip: Add photos and a video of your pet—they help increase clicks by 500%.

2. Review new applications
We'll notify you anytime you get a new application. Before you start reviewing, check out our screening guidelines for potential adopters to help find the best match for your pet.
Pro tip: You can browse all our resources and FAQs in your Rehome dashboard.

3. Meet potential adopters
After you choose an applicant, it's time to meet up! We know making plans with a stranger can feel iffy. So, we have meet-and-greet tips to help you have a safe, productive meeting.
Pro tip: Always meet potential adopters before finalizing—and choose a safe, public spot.

4. Finalize your pet's adoption
When you're ready, we'll provide you with our transfer of ownership template. Both you and the adopter can sign it as official proof of the adoption. (No pawprint signature required.)
Pro tip: In the transfer, you can add a plan for if the rehome doesn't work out—though most do!
